COLUMBIA COUNTY COURTHOUSE VETERANS MEMORIAL

Next to the county courthouse of Columbia, MO, is a memorial that honors all who served and paid the ultimate sacrifice. Tall, white pillars align one side of the courtyard as protective barriers to the memorial. An Honor Roll with names of Boone County Veterans who served and paid the ultimate sacrifice are listed on one monument. A statue of a of soldier stands on top of the pillar of the names of those in the county who lost their lives in WWI. Other monuments honor those who died in WWII, Korea, Vietnam, the Cold War, Southwest Asian War and the Global War on Terrorism.
