EGAN VETERAN’S MEMORIAL PARK

For a small town that lost its school and post office, the supporters of Veterans found it important build and maintain this Veterans Memorial. Dedicated in 2005, this Memorial honors all past, present and future Veterans.

An American flag stands tall in the center with six service flags and the black and white flag honoring the Prisoners of War (POW) and those Missing in Action (MIA). Three granite monuments are on site with the center pillar displaying an engraved image of the red, white and blue American flag. The other pillars have military images such as battleships, a soldier and war images are carved into the rock. The symbol for POW-MIA with the phase “You are Not Forgotten” is carved into the rock.
