ENGLEWOOD VETERANS MEMORIAL AND FREEDOM PAVILION

Built in 2014, this memorial is wide and open beside Lemon Bay. Individual bronze military seals are spaced across a sloped, bricked area with the corresponding distinctive flag flying overhead. Benches are nearby each seal so visitors can rest and pay their respects to our military personnel. A blue star memorial pays tribute to all who have defended the United States of America.

The park includes a 6,200 sf outdoor plaza, 2,900 sf Freedom Pavilion and 1,600 sf picnic pavilion area. The supporting pillars of the plaza also feature metal columns with nostalgic hanging military machine gun rounds. This monument is unique for its several “green” features that are kind to our planet and the ocean nearby. With multiple views of the Pacific Ocean, the park is used for events and ceremonies with amenities such as parking, info kiosk, bike rack and restrooms.
