HULL VETERANS MEMORIAL

Down on Main Street of this quaint town are marble stones engraved with names of Veterans from the Hull, IA, area who served in wars from the Civil War to the Persian Gulf War. Installed in May 2001, this circular memorial displays a Gold Star Monument with names of Veterans who died in service. The memorial also includes flags of the five branches of service, the American Flag and sitting benches for people to view the memorial while taking in its serenity. Not far from this memorial is the Hope Cemetery, with a memorial pillar of names honoring the 27 area men who fought and died in the Civil War from 1861-1865.
