Ronald D. Schultz, stands near his engraved name on one of the several monuments at this Veterans Memorial park at Merrill, Iowa. Schultz, one of many Veterans honored at this memorial, was enlisted in the Army from 1964 to 1966. He is the father of Tami Mullinix, an Architect in SGA’s Sioux City office.

The memorial park, located 20 minutes northeast of Sioux City, displays a beautifully engraved bench with military photos and several granite pillars engraved with Veteran’s names. Also on site, is a patriotic mural, created by painter Karol Holton, which includes the image of the Raising of Old Glory at Iwo Jima, a girl saluting an unnamed tombstone, wreaths on tombstones and Lady Liberty.
