STRAND VISTA PARK VETERANS MEMORIAL

The City of Dana Point and the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 9934 rededicate this memorial annually on Veterans Day. The ceremony honors residents of Dana Point who died in the past year. As a tribute, the Marine Aircraft Group 39 Color Guard and the local VFW Post and Rifle Team take part in this rededication.

This memorial was first dedicated in 2010. On a pillar supporting the American Flag is a bronze plaque featuring a bald eagle and shield sculpture. A bronze plaque displays seals of the five branches of service. The memorial honors all fallen heroes and honors those who serve.

With a beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean and Dana Strands Beach, this park’s trails intertwine through lush foliage. Benches, placed throughout the memorial park, offer visitors a place to sit and pay their respects.
