Skip Avery is our Director of Club Development and comes to Stone Group Architects with more than 35 years of club management experience. Just before joining SGA, he spent 10 years as an Executive Vice President with the nation’s largest firm specializing in private clubs, where he facilitated strategic and facilities planning programs. He is continuing with that expertise at Stone Group, working with clubs across the nation to improve their day-to-day operations and provide insight for future prosperity in an ever-changing environment.
Skip was raised in Upstate New York and has lived in Madison, WI, since the mid 90s. He has always been incredibly devoted to his work in the club industry and has served in various roles, including President for the Club Management Association of America (CMAA). In addition to upland hunting, he loves to golf, but most of all, Skip enjoys spending time with his family, especially his two grown sons.
Relationships are of the utmost importance to Skip. He lives his life by the adage that people will forget what you say and they will forget what you did; but people will never forget how you made them feel.
